Why participate from a distance?
Many people over the years have expressed disappointment that they could not run in our road race either because they could not make it on Labor Day, because they live too far away, or because they have already committed to another race Labor Day morning.
We would like our race to transcend the bounds of time and space by making it available to anyone, from anywhere.
You can join us either by walking or running a 5k close to your home at a time convenient for you, or by covering the miles on your own, such as on a training day or on a hike.

How can I participate from a distance?
1. Go to the registration page
2. Choose the way you want to register.
3. When filling out the form, be sure to check the box “distance participant” on the form.
4. Make sure the address you put on the form is the address we can ship your participation prize to in September.
5. We will ship participation prizes beginning the second week of September, and after that we will ship as registrations come in. You can register and participate anytime!
6. This year’s participation prize is a Run With the Cause wrist wallet.
